MARCH 2023 NEWS

Welcome to our March 2023 update.  

It has been a very busy month moving forward from February where PPDS commenced their Audit Coaching sessions in preparation for our Mid-term Audit, date to be confirmed.

On Monday 20 March, CEO Nicci and Dot commenced the Audit Coaching Sessions.

This week we covered all aspects of Staff and the requirements we all need to know, action and apply.  With our new Trainer, Kerry Phillips coming on board, we have hit the ground running formalising:  Internal audit; actioning areas for our continuous improvement and updating these improvements; Staff Personal files, qualifications, etc; NGO training packages confirmed and actioned; Staff embracing the opportunities for their own professional knowledge and skills to be efficient in their roles as a Disability Support Worker. 

We all have progressed in so many areas with the formalisation of our resources, access, training and the initiatives we need to action.

A huge thank you to each member or our team for your willingness to embrace and share this journey; we are all benefiting from these amazing opportunities especially for our supports to our Participants.

Our Website - Personal Preference is now one of your most important GO TO resources.  Please action all requests and follow through with the developments.  It is very important you log in as often you can to keep abreast of the latest news and information.  Suggest every shift.

On Wednesday, 22 March, Trainer Kerri and the team, including any of our Participants around the time were included in the PPE Onning and Doffing Training Session.  With much fun, engagement and laughter, this is now one of many future on-site training sessions in Koolumbutt that are about to happen.  Do enjoy the photos we have shared.  Check out the photos

The Audit Coaching Session on 29 March, 2023, focused on everything we need to know, apply and have in our system to be complaint for our Participants.  CEO Nicci and Dot have been working on all documents that need to be checked, initiated where necessary, updated, implemented and shared with each of our Participants to move forward.  This has been another very valuable and positive continuous improvement opportunity to build on all that we have been able to achieve with our current Participants, their families, whilst reaching out to others who will value our Participant First Choice PPDS strategy.

We encourage all feedback from both Participants and our Staff.  In the coming weeks, even though CEO Nicci is in constant touch with each of you, we will be conducting surveys for your feedback.  Please share with us your ideas, opportunities for improvement, what you enjoy most in your current role and what you would like us to consider for improvement.  We are a ‘family focused provider of Support Services’ anything we can do to provide the best possible care for and to the lives of those we support will be very much appreciated.  Please let me know by email and complete the survey forms provided which will be provided to you.

April is going to be more of the above plus.  Do hang in there and make the most of the opportunities we have provided to each of you to grow, develop, deliver, most of all to enjoy and have fun.

FEBRUARY 2023 NEWS

We are now well into the new year with so much happening already, it is looking positive for the Participants, their families and our team.

Congratulations to Jarrod, Natarlya and Bellami on the birth of Azaria Marion Lane

 

 

 

Born at 12 25pm 31 January 2023; weight 2880; 49cm. 

 

 

 

All are doing well, including Grandparents Nicci and Robert.

 

Audit on 30 January has been and gone.  We are now full on areas for improvements and preparations for our Mid-term audit, due before 1 June 2023.  We will all need to work hard together to be prepared as soon as.

Welcome to our team, Kerri Phillips.  Kerri has been training our Trainees, for almost 12 months.  Kerri brings a wealth of knowledge and experience.  She still works in the industry; is a qualified trainer/assessor.  She will be focusing on our Staff for training and support; Participants their supports, etc; assisting us to get ready for the audit.

In the coming weeks we will be organising training

Overall, it has been a very busy month, supporting our Participants, enjoying daylight saving, the long days and not too much rain.

Good afternoon to each of you

Thank you for your wonderful support for our Participants and the PPDS team.

Several staff members have requested to have their own passwords.   It is very similar to any time you choose/need to change your password.

PROCEED AS FOLLOWS:

  1. Use your own email address you have provided to us and receiving this email and proceed as follows:
  2. Go to the bottom of the page
  3. Select Staff Login button you will then be given
  4. Select I have lost my password
  5. This will then ask you for your email and a link to change your password will be sent to you via your email address
  6. Once you change your password, wait a minute, try logging in and the system should have changed your password to what you chose.
